ECT works on the development of a large network of inland terminals, connected to ECT terminals in Rotterdam and other terminals and seaports. TCT Venlo is the first ECT inland terminal to get the AEO status, which is conferred by Dutch Customs. Other terminals are expected to follow soon.
AEO is a European custom standard. Companies with an AEO status answer to the strongest customs demands. This concerns security of areas and buildings, as well as following strict procedures. AEO certified companies have many advantages, such as less control of documents.
